Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information Taskdale collects when you visit taskdale.com or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with and what control you have over it. We’ve tried to keep it readable. If something isn’t clear, contact us and we’ll explain.
The short version
- We collect what we need to sell you digital products, deliver your files and support you. Not much more.
- Card payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
- We don’t sell your personal information. Full stop.
- We use cookies to run the cart and checkout, keep you logged in and understand how the site is used.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Who we are
Taskdale is owned and run by Allquill Solutions International Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13822352), with its registered office at Office 2179, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London, E6 2JA, United Kingdom. In this policy, “Taskdale”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Allquill Solutions International Limited trading as Taskdale. We run taskdale.com, an online store for digital planners, spreadsheet templates, business templates, printables and other downloadable products. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it’s used. You can reach us at info@allquill.co.uk or through our Contact page.Contact page.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order details: your name, email address, billing address and, if you choose to give it, a phone number. Even though nothing is shipped, our payment providers usually need a billing address to process and protect payments.
- Account details: if you create an account, your username, email and password. Passwords are stored in encrypted form. We can’t read them.
- Messages: anything you send us through the contact form, live chat, email or a support request, including screenshots or files you attach.
- Reviews and comments: your name, the review or comment itself and, if you add one, a profile picture.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and, sometimes, your first name.
Information collected automatically
- Device and log data: your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you visit, the time spent on them and the site that sent you to us.
- Cart and order activity: products viewed, items added to the cart and downloads made from your account.
- Cookies and similar tools: see the Cookies section below.
Information from other parties
- Payment providers tell us whether a payment succeeded and give us a transaction reference. They may also share limited details such as the card type, the last four digits of the card and the billing country. They never send us your full card number or security code.
We don’t knowingly collect sensitive information, like health details, religious beliefs or government ID numbers. Please don’t send us that kind of information.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- process your order and take payment;
- deliver your download links and send order emails;
- give you access to your files in your account;
- answer your questions and handle error reports, including when our experts check a file you’ve reported;
- send you corrected files when we fix a product;
- prevent fraud, misuse of payment methods and unauthorised sharing of our products;
- keep records for accounting and tax purposes;
- improve the site, our products and how easy it is to find things;
- send newsletters or offers, but only if you’ve agreed to receive them or where the law allows. You can opt out any time.
Our reasons for using it
As a UK business, we follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. These laws ask us to explain the legal basis for each use. Ours are:
- To carry out our contract with you: processing your order, delivering files and giving support.
- Legal duties: keeping financial records and responding to lawful requests.
- Legitimate interests: keeping the site secure, stopping fraud and understanding how the store is used, in ways you’d reasonably expect.
- Your consent: marketing emails and non-essential cookies, where consent is required. You can withdraw it whenever you like.
Payments
When you pay, you’re redirected to or shown a secure payment form run by our payment providers. Right now that includes PayPal for card and Google Pay payments, and may include other providers such as Paystack. Your card details go straight to them and are handled under their own privacy policies and security standards. We only receive confirmation of the payment and the limited details mentioned above.
Who we share information with
We share information only where we need to, and only with people and services that help us run the store. These include:
- Payment providers, to process and protect payments.
- Website hosting and maintenance providers, who store the site and its data.
- Email delivery services, which send order emails, download links and newsletters.
- Customer support and marketing tools, such as HubSpot, which powers our forms, live chat and contact records.
- Analytics and search tools, such as Google services, which help us understand site traffic and how our pages appear in search.
- Professional advisers, like accountants or lawyers, where needed.
- Authorities, if the law requires it or if we need to protect our rights, our customers or the public from fraud or harm.
- A buyer or successor, if the business or its assets are ever sold or transferred. Your information would stay protected under this policy.
These providers may only use your information to do their job for us. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don’t share it with advertisers so they can target you.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use them for a few reasons:
- Essential cookies: these make the store work. They remember your cart, keep you logged in and protect checkout. The site can’t work properly without them.
- Preference cookies: these remember choices you make, such as closing the notice bar at the top of the page.
- Analytics cookies: these tell us which pages are visited and how people find us, so we can improve the site.
- Support and marketing cookies: tools like HubSpot use cookies to run live chat and forms and to recognise returning visitors.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout may stop working.
How long we keep your information
We keep information only as long as we need it:
- Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. This is usually several years.
- Account details are kept until you ask us to close your account.
- Support messages are kept while they’re useful for helping you, then deleted or anonymised.
- Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.
- Server logs are kept for a short time for security and then removed.
How we protect your information
We use secure HTTPS connections across the site, trusted payment providers, limited staff access and regular updates to protect the site. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. If a breach affects your information in a way that puts you at risk, we’ll tell you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.
Moving information across borders
Taskdale is run from the United Kingdom and serves customers in many countries. Some of our service providers store or process data outside the UK. When your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it’s protected, for example by using countries the UK recognises as having adequate protection, or by relying on approved contract terms with the provider.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that’s wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, unless we have to keep it for legal or tax reasons;
- object to or limit how we use it;
- withdraw consent you’ve given, such as for marketing emails;
- ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere;
- complain to a data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, email us at info@allquill.co.uk or use our Contact page. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, to keep your information safe. We’ll reply within the time the law allows, and we won’t charge you for reasonable requests.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk. If you live outside the UK, you can contact the data protection authority in your own country instead.
Marketing emails
We’ll only send you newsletters or offers if you’ve signed up or if the law allows it, for example after a purchase. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Order emails, download links and replies to your support requests aren’t marketing, so you’ll still get those.
Children
Taskdale is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you think a child has given us their information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site may link to other websites and apps, such as Google Drive, Notion or planner apps. Once you leave Taskdale, their privacy policies apply, not ours. Please read them before sharing your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our store, tools or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If we make a big change, we’ll make it clear on the site.
