How it works
- Download the files right after checkout.
- Pick your size and open the planner in a PDF reader that supports fillable forms. Or print it.
- Fill in the Business Overview and your Yearly Goals first. It takes about ten minutes.
- Open the Money Tracker, type your currency and year on the Settings tab, and start logging.
- Review each month with the Monthly Review page and the dashboard.
File formats and software
- 3 PDF files: US Letter (8.5 x 11 in), A4 and A5. Fillable and hyperlinked, with bookmarks.
- 1 Excel workbook (.xlsx). Built and tested in LibreOffice Calc with standard Excel formulas.
- 1 Word user guide (.docx).
- To type on the PDF you need a PDF reader with form support. We tested typing, tick boxes and links with PDFium, the PDF engine inside Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
- To use the tracker you need Microsoft Excel or LibreOffice Calc. Google Sheets and Numbers have not been tested.
Customization
The planner is undated, so it works for any year and any start month. Money fields have no currency sign printed on them. In the Money Tracker you type your currency once, $ by default, and every money heading follows it. You can add your own income and expense categories, rename payment methods, change the tax set-aside rate and set your own mileage rate. Formula cells are locked to keep totals safe, with no password, so you can unlock them if you want to tinker.
The PDF design is fixed so it prints the same on every printer. You can print any page as many times as you like for your own business.

Does it work on an iPad or in GoodNotes?
We tested it on a computer. Tablet apps handle fillable fields and links in different ways, so try one page in your app first.
Which currency does the Money Tracker use?
Any currency you choose. It starts with $ and changes everywhere when you type a new symbol in Settings.
Does the spreadsheet work in Google Sheets?
It is an Excel file tested in LibreOffice. Google Sheets has not been tested, so we cannot promise every chart will show.
Can I share or resell it?
No. The files are for personal use in your own business. Please do not share, resell or upload them.
