Plate & Pantry gives you one tidy place to plan the week’s meals, build the grocery list, set a prep day, watch the budget and keep your best recipes. It is a hyperlinked PDF planner, so you tap a tab and land where you need to be. Plan it on a tablet, or print the pages and use them on paper.

What is this digital meal planner?

It is an undated, 216-page planner for food. You get 52 weekly spreads, 12 monthly overviews, 40 recipe pages and a handful of kitchen tools. Every week has two pages. The first is your meal plan: breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack for each day, with a grocery list and a notes box beside it. The second is Shop & Prep, with eight aisle boxes, a quick budget and a prep day checklist.

Because it is undated, you start whenever you like. Begin in March or in the middle of a busy August. Nothing goes to waste.

What is inside the planner

  • Weekly meal plan: 52 weeks, four meal rows a day, groceries and notes on the same page.
  • Shop & Prep page: aisle boxes (produce, dairy and eggs, meat and fish, pantry and more), a quick budget and a prep day list.
  • Monthly overview: 12 month grids with buttons that jump to each week.
  • 40 recipe pages: ingredients, steps, serves, prep and cook time, star rating and cost, plus a recipe index.
  • Kitchen inventory: pantry, fridge and freezer checklists so you stop buying a third jar of cumin.
  • Grocery budget: planned, spent and left, week by week.
  • Extras: meal ideas, a rotation page, profile and goals, food tracker, event menus, measurement conversions, a food safety chart, ingredient swaps, a pantry staples list, a reset page and eight notes pages.

Four weekly layouts, two start days, ten colors

Not everyone plans the same way, so there are four weekly layouts to choose from. Pick the one that fits how you think and use it all year. Choose a Monday start or a Sunday start. Then pick your color: white, gray, black, beige, yellow, purple, pink, blue, orange or green. Every color comes in both start days, so you get 20 tablet PDFs in the download.

Tabs and buttons that work

The side tabs jump between sections. The buttons at the top of each week page take you to the previous week, the next week, the month and Shop & Prep. All 2,946 links in each file were checked by script, and none are broken. The planner keeps the file size light, around 1.2 MB per PDF, so it opens fast.

Bonus printable pack

Prefer paper? The download also includes a printable pack in both US Letter and A4, in all ten colors. Each pack has 29 pages: weekly planners (Monday and Sunday starts), a shopping list, a recipe card, ideas pages, a budget page, inventory lists and notes pages. Pages print on white paper with colored accents, so they go easy on your ink.

What you get after purchase

  • Tablet planner ZIP, Sunday start (10 PDFs, one per color)
  • Printable pack ZIP (20 PDFs: 10 colors in US Letter and A4)

Total: 40 planner PDFs plus the guide. This is a digital download. No physical item will be shipped.

Who this digital meal planner is for

Busy parents who need a plan before the after-school rush. People who want to eat out less and save money. Anyone cooking for one who is tired of wasting half a bag of spinach. Couples who split the shopping. Students on a tight budget. If you plan meals even loosely, this saves you time every week.

How to use it

Download the ZIP for your start day, unzip it and open the color you like in a PDF app that supports links and annotation. Duplicate the file if you want a spare, then write with a stylus or use your app’s text tool. Fill in a week on Sunday evening, tick off groceries as you shop, and jump to the recipe pages for the dishes you repeat. The guide walks through each page.

Software and device requirements

You need a PDF reader or annotation app that supports internal links, plus a way to write or type on the page (a stylus, or a text tool). The PDFs use a standard 3:4 tablet page. The printable pack prints on US Letter or A4 paper. Fonts are embedded, so the pages look the same everywhere. Link behavior depends on the app you use, and not every app has been tested, so check the first few tabs after opening the file. The text on the pages is fixed and cannot be edited, which keeps the layout clean.
