Know what every product really costs you
Most small sellers price by gut feel. Then a busy month ends and there is barely anything left. The jar, the wax and the label got counted. The 15 minutes at the stove, the box, the Etsy fee and a share of your Canva subscription did not.
Price & Profit adds all of it up. Type your costs once, pick where you sell, and it tells you the price that hits your profit goal after fees. It also flags, in green, amber or red, which of your products are on target and which ones are quietly losing money.

What it does
- Pricing calculator. Pick materials from your own library, add making time, packaging and postage, then compare four prices: break-even, wholesale, retail and target margin.
- Profit check in plain words. Type the price you plan to charge and see fees, profit per sale, margin, markup and what you earn per hour.
- Sale tester. See if 20% off still makes money before you run the sale.
- Monthly goal. Enter a profit goal and see how many sales you need.
- Price list for up to 50 products, each with a target price and a colour-coded status.
- Dashboard that updates itself: average margin, products on target, products that need fixing, top 10 earners, estimated monthly sales and profit, plus two charts.
- Materials library for up to 100 supplies. Pack price in, cost per gram, ml or piece out.
- Business costs tab that spreads your monthly bills across every item you sell.
- Fee table for 12 sales channels with typical US rates already filled in (checked October 2026). Type over them with your own.
- Prices round up to .99, .95 or .00, so rounding never eats your margin.

File formats and software
- XLSX workbook for Microsoft Excel 2016 or newer (Windows and Mac), Excel for the web and Google Sheets (free). No macros, nothing to install.
- PDF printables open in any PDF reader. Use Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) for the fillable versions.
- Apple Numbers can open the workbook, but dropdowns and charts may not behave the same, so Excel or Google Sheets is recommended.
Make it yours
Change the currency to any code or symbol. Rename sales channels and type your own fee rates. Set your own margin target, multipliers and price ending. Add rows, change colours and fonts like any spreadsheet.
